Why public relations (PR)? Why is PR more effective than selling a small-format image?

In response to artists’ inquiries, we feel encouraged to publish an article about the effectiveness of and the way in which PR works, so that artists can better understand the value of our work. Indeed, PR evokes the appearance of a mystery whose meaning is not clear to everyone. PR has an indirect and long-term effect, which in the end generates more financial returns than the sale of an artwork. And publishing your pictures in art books is also extremely important to your reputation!

Art contemplations on your pictures: blog posts in German and English

Our German blog journal is a powerful public relations tool, which also disseminates professional articles, competition results and awards and our Online-Show. In this way, readers – particularly in German-speaking regions – can become more familiar with works of art to better understand them and the creative spirit of the artists concerned. Interested readers can view images and meditate with them. If they are interested in any of the artworks, they can get in contact with the relevant artist. Of course, the posts can also be published in English.

Solo art book: Chiemi Itoi, Japan – Cat Love

It is perhaps no coincidence that artists and writers often lose their hearts to cats. Moreover, they tend to view their freedom-loving, four-legged friends with a degree of envy and respect. According to Mark Twain, “Of all God’s creatures there is only one that cannot be made the slave of the leash. That one is the cat.”. Although the work of famous artists and writers plays no part in this book, the Japanese artist Chiemi Itoi and the German haiku poet Gabriele Walter have been inspired by their shared love of cats. In collaboration with graphic artist and designer Kurt Ries, they have created an imaginative and stylish gift book.

Our online events, which are combined with an homage, serve this purpose.

Why are miniprints (+ mixed media) the ideal form of publicity for an artist in the international arena?

Small pictures not only focus the view, miniprints can reproduce and ship to all countries. With their concentrated beauty, miniprints or small format mixed media resemble precious stones or blooms. In a mindful way, they are comparable to the experience of sipping fine wine on the occasion of a vernissage. That’s why we designed the catalog for our small-scale events “ART RETREAT – KUNSTRETREAT” as an entertaining gift and meditation book. The book not only includes a guide to art meditation, it also deals with other entertaining subjects, such as collecting and living with art. The ‘Enter into Art’ events were the first worldwide miniprint and mixed media exhibitions in Germany. In the future, however, we will publish the book as part of a competition.

Translation of the art books “Kunstretreat 2016 – 2019”

The text content of the art book series “Kunstretreat” is substantially integrated into our German blog, “Bernsteinrose.” With Google Translate you can convert these texts into your own language, or into English, to understand what is involved. (Sometimes it is better to translate German texts into English, as these languages belong to the same family and share similar features.) However, since 2019 this book series will also be published in two languages (English and German).
